Brisbane based Producer Julie Trunkfield has been invited to present a seminar at IFEMA: International Female Film Festival, Malmo, Sweden in early April (www.femalefilmfestival.se). As per the festival program, for 90 minutes Julie will be showing clips from her debut feature film “On the Edge of Eden”(www.edgeofedenmovie.com) and will be speaking about modern filmmaking as a woman with personal and professional ambitions and her experiences in the Australian film industry.
“Eden” is an internationally award-winning independent feature film produced by Australian production company White Light Pictures P/L(“WLP”). WLP currently have four feature projects on their production slate developed with Writer/Director Damian S. Simankowicz. (www.whitelightpictures.com.au)
Damian Simankowicz met the IFEMA festival director at the official Cinequest/Film Finders, Cannes 2008 party, which prompted interest in Julie presenting at the 2009 IFEMA festival.
“Eden” is an independent production shot primarily in the Royal National Park in NSW during 2006. Post production was completed in February 2007 and the film premiered in June 2007 at the Dungog Film Festival, NSW. ‘On the Edge of Eden’, has also won Best Feature Film in the romantic feature category at The Indie Gathering Film Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.
